A man was struck and killed by an NJ Transit train Tuesday morning, May 6, near Middletown, suspending service in both directions along the North Jersey Coast Line, officials said. The incident happened at 9:06 a.m., when train 3223, which had left Penn Station New York at 7:44 a.m., hit a trespasser just west of Middletown, NJ Transit said.
