A young boy is fighting for his life after being rescued from a pond in Virginia amid frigid conditions that ravaged the region. At around 1:40 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 26, officers from the Henrico County Police Department were called to assist with a water rescue that was reported in the Three Chopt Magisterial District. Officers responded to the 12300 block of Shore View Drive to investigate after a toddler was found and rescued from a nearby pond. A 67-year-old man died shoveling snow in Essex County, New Jersey on Sunday, Jan. 25, authorities said. At 12:44 p.m., officers responded to Beach Road and Martin Road for a report of a person down on the sidewalk, Verona police said. A 6-month-old boy was found dead in his parents’ bed in Tobyhanna, Pocono Mountain Regional Police announced on Monday, Sept. 15. Officers were called to 8523 Hillcrest Drive at 8:47 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13, for a report of an infant not breathing, according to Chief Chris Wagner.
